In my column for the November issue of Production Machining, I take a look at the way new technologies affect perspectives on the shop floor. IMTS has proven to be a familiar location for learning about trending technologies, and the most recent edition of the show was no different.
Where previous shows demonstrated the early growth of such game-changing ideas as CNC, robotics, and additive manufacturing, this year, many visitors to IMTS were introduced to new concepts of implementation for data driven manufacturing.
