You may have noticed that Process Cleaning has gone through some subtle changes in recent months. When you receive your next issue, these changes will be far more obvious. We’re moving from a tabloid format to an easy to read, carry, and store 8 × 10 1/2 inches—all part of a plan to take what we feel is a strong product and bring it to the next level. Each issue will be packed with substantial content that will help you in your parts cleaning business, all in a more readable format, giving better accessibility to the information you need most.
As the new editor of Process Cleaning, I am proud to be a part of this transition. I look forward to offering new, better ways to bring you the hottest topics of the industry. Having worked as an editor with both Modern Machine Shop and Production Machining magazines, I bring more than ten years of experience in the metalworking field. Both of these brands are from the same parent company as Process Cleaning—Gardner Publications.
Gardner is dedicated to producing industry leading magazines and supporting them with integrated media solutions that are vital to reaching decision makers with all the information they need to run their businesses. In the coming months, Process Cleaning will release its newly developed Web site, offering fully searchable editorial content, a thorough industry supplier directory, comprehensive product listings and other tools that will help you do better business. We want Process Cleaning to be your primary source for information regarding all of your cleaning needs.
With this goal in mind, I invite you to contact me with feedback on our developments. If you have ideas for stories you’d like to see, topics we don’t cover enough or creative ideas that will help spread knowledge of the industry, please drop me a line. Meanwhile, I will be making every effort to be out in the field as much as possible, visiting plants, speaking with industry experts, learning about new products and processes and reporting to you, our readers, the latest trends.
This month, as we reach out to the automotive industry, we look at ways to achieve Six Sigma results through a combination of cleaning technologies, and we discuss how to get the most out of water-jet deburring. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Dive into this month’s Process Cleaning, and see what new information is here to help improve your company’s processes.
