Tungaloy-NTK Inc. highlights three new, high-performance PVD grades (AH8005, AH7025 and AH6235) for its TetraForceCut and TetraMiniCut grooving series. These additions enhance machining stability, tool life and surface quality, providing innovative and efficient solutions for parting and grooving applications.

The TetraForceCut and TetraMiniCut series are known for its economical four-edge grooving inserts and a robust three-point clamping system that ensures superior indexing accuracy, insert stability and repeatability. With these new PVD grades, the company delivers even greater productivity across external grooving, parting-off, face grooving, threading and custom profiling applications.

The AH8005 grade is optimized for high-speed machining, offering good wear resistance and performance in stable cutting conditions. The AH7025 offers a balanced grade for general-purpose machining, providing good wear resistance and fracture toughness for various materials. Lastly, the AH6235 grade is designed for high-strength materials and interrupted cuts, delivering good toughness and extended tool life.

These new grades complement Tungaloy’s proprietary 3D chipbreaker technology, ensuring chip control, reduced machining forces and minimized burr formation. Additionally, the through-coolant toolholder option ("-CHP") maximizes cutting efficiency and prolongs tool life in demanding applications.

The expanded TetraForceCut and TetraMiniCut lineup supports a wide range of groove widths (0.33 to 4 mm) and depths (up to 10 mm), ensuring versatility in both small and large component machining.
